About Black Sands MusicOur home-based recording facility is ideally suited to the solo singer/songwriter looking to record anything from their first demo to an entire album. Black Sands Music is here to offer an affordable, high-quality alternative to the normally high cost of studio time associated with most commercial studios. By making our Auckland home-based studio accessible to anyone we hope to do our bit toward helping nurture Auckland's independent musicians. While many studios promote themselves based on their extensive and often expensive array of equipment we believe that excellent results can in fact be achieved with a small amount of modestly priced equipment. Black Sands Music has adopted this philosophy as part of its strategy for minimising costs and overheads, and therefore making recording affordable for most singer/songwriters. And ultimately the results speak for themselves. Numerous projects from Black Sands Music have received both local and international airplay. While having produced and released ten albums of his own since 2002, Ian is also involved in recording and producing for many other Auckland based artists. Xiao Jing Guan Former producer, host of "Night Moods" on Chinese radio 936Am and co-host of Chinese CTV8 "Newstalk" show, Jing brings a wealth of experience in broadcasting offering a professional and tailored voice-over service in standard Mandarin. Her charming voice is absolutely invaluable for anyone wanting access to the local Chinese market. Our MissionProvide professional low-cost recording and music production services to Auckland's singer/songwriters and karaoke enthusiasts. Also, to provide affordable access to the local Chinese market with our radio and TV ad service.
